From Mediocrity through Standards towards Excellence

In 2023, we initiated an introductory course on artificial intelligence, which serves as a foundational component of a comprehensive curriculum centered on this critical field. We acknowledge that artificial intelligence represents a transformative force within the educational landscape, possessing the potential to revolutionize teaching and learning methodologies. Accordingly, we have strategically integrated AI into our long-term plan for the years 2025-2027, with the aim of addressing the identified competency gaps among educators and students in Cameroon.

Our initiative, entitled "From Mediocrity through Standards towards Excellence," is designed not only to enhance the quality of education but also to establish rigorous benchmarks for the monitoring, evaluation, and assessment of educational outcomes. By leveraging advanced AI technologies, we endeavor to create a robust framework that promotes accountability and fosters continuous improvement within the educational system. This initiative is essential in ensuring that both teachers and learners acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in an increasingly digital and automated world.
